I am an evolutionary anthropologist and scientific illustrator. I’m currently based at the University of Calgary in Canada, where I’m a Postdoctoral Fellow in Transdisciplinary Research with the Faculty of Arts. I’m a member of the Human Evolutionary Energetics Lab in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology; as well as the Chronobiology Lab in the Department of Psychology. My research stands at the intersection of ecology, evolution, and physiology, with a particular focus in topics of sleep and circadian rhythms. Using methods in chronobiology and anthropology, my ultimate research goal is to understand the costs and benefits of sleep in environment, and how it attributes to variations in modern human health and well-being. I’m also a Science illustrator, working with scientists and NGOs to represent their work, with the aim of effective science communication and outreach. I explained the many ways that climate change can influence wild primate populations, and how we can measure this through our research.
